RipTide

Riptide Speed Bearing Lube – Dry Weather

$15.95

If your bearings are new or running without any grit in them, just add RipTide Wet or Dry depending on what conditions you expect. If your bearings are dirty, we suggest removing both the inner and outer shields so you can soak the bearings in Kerosene to clean them.

The Downhill Specialists on Riptide Team have also confirmed increased roll speed & reduced servicing requirements with both the Dry and Wet formulations and these tests have been conducted throughout Europe and across the USA for the last year.

Developing a Riptide Speed lube for Skateboards has been on our agenda for a few years as we’ve never been completely satisfied with the lubes that were available. When we got serious and started listing the qualities/performance we felt were missing, we knew we had to tap the Long Distance Specialists on our Team as our primary test crew – Andrew Andras, Kyle Yan and Harrison Tucker.

The main reason for this was their ability to quickly recognize and quantify what works and what does not work to reduce bearing friction as they endure literally thousands of miles of pushing pumping & coasting, with their bodies providing the propulsion, not gravity.

Michael Carson shreds some of his local hills on our newly unleashed Street Series bushings. These new shapes blow open what you can use your trucks for, be it shedding the bowl or hitting the mountain passes and everywhere between. Designed to fit Indys and your other traditional kingpin trucks, the Street Series are available in 3 durometers (Soft – 90a, Medium – 95a & Hard – 97.5a), 5 boardside shapes (Street Barrel, Street Cone, Street FatCone, Street Magnum & Street Chubby) and 2 roadside shapes (Short Street Cone & Short Street Barrel).

RipTide + CalStreets Bushings Pivot Cups Canada Pickup Vancouver RipTide's all about designing and developing the sickest gear out there, no doubt. When you're searching for the perfect bushing, you gotta focus on three things: how you ride, the shape of the bushing, and the durometer. The durometer of a bushing is what determines whether it's hard or soft. And that's what's gonna give you that sweet lean you're looking for. But when you're picking out the right durometer, you gotta consider two things: your riding style and your weight. If you're all about bombing hills, you're gonna want a harder bushing for max stability. But if you're more into freeriding, a softer bushing's gonna be your jam. And don't forget about your weight, either. If you're a featherweight, go for a soft bushing. If you're packing some pounds, you'll wanna go harder.
