Push for the Cure 2014 was a big success. Longboarders of all ages pushed for a cure for breast cancer from Hope to Stanley Park, Vancouver Oct 11-13th. It was three days of committed skating over the Thanksgiving weekend covering 153km along scenic Hwy 7…which becomes Lougheed Hwy, Barnett Hwy and then Hastings Street in Vancouver. The whole crew caught a lot of attention for the entire route as they rolled down the road in their pink tees. They got wet, they got dry and they got wet again but they pushed 100 miles!
Thanks to everyone who skated and to all who supported this fundraiser, now in it’s 9th year. There were many generous food donors and Landyachtz, Switchback, and Longboarder Labs covered the insurance and accommodations costs.
