The Lacroix Lonestar™ was built for the outdoor adventurers, the urban explorers, the thrill seekers. For those who want to go where their heart takes them. On-road or offroad, it doesn’t care. Go anywhere you want. Putting 120 jumbo cells under your feet is prepostrous, and it’s exactly what we did. Because adventure hates to charge.
You don’t need to choose between the sunrise ride, the hillclimb, the country exploration, the speed run and the group ride. You can do them all. Despite its weight, the Lonestar™ feels very light and nimble under the feet. It handles like a board half its weight. Actually, the only time you’ll be reminded you are hauling a 2152wh battery is when you pick it up.
LONESTAR TECH:
The Lonestar shares the same insane specs as the Nazare, save for the battery which is double its size and the baseplate of the Hypertrucks™ which have an integrated riser (because adding one to the Nazare’s baseplate would be unaesthetic) to compensate the enclosure size. You don’t need to choose between the sunrise ride, the hill climb, the country exploration, the speed run and the group ride.
You can choose from 2 different flexes: Regular flex (pre-planed 6 ply Canadian maple sheets -same flex as 5 regular un-planed plys) which is good up to 240lbs. The Stiff flex (pre-planed 7 ply Canadian Maple sheet that has the same flex as 6 regular plys) which is good for up to 350lbs (and for those who prefer a stiffer deck).
BATTERY:
2152wh – the Lacroix Nazare Lonestar is fueled by a 12S12P flexible battery pack made of Samsung INR-21700-50E. It’s monstrous, it’ll go for hours without drops in power and you won’t get enough of it. With purchase, a 12 amp charger is included. The approximate charge time from zero to full is 3.5-4 hours.
RANGE:
The range of the Nazare Lonestar is unlike any other. Thanks to the 12S12P battery pack made of Sanyo 20700B cells, you can ride in confidence without any battery sag. Featuring an approximately range from 50-60 miles (80-100km) for a hard charging 200lbs rider to an 80 mile range for a lightweight slow rolling star gazer. These stats will be updated after we continue extensive testing and feedback from our riders (draining this battery is quite a feat!). Reminder that battery range may vary per rider and their riding style.
INTEGRATED FRONT LIGHTS:
A nice addition to this beast of a ride to ensure safety and provide visibility through all conditions while riding. Coming with (2) integrated high-end customized removable front mountain bike lights with CREE XM-L2 U2 LEDs that connect directly into the board’s battery with a high end waterproof connector. These lights are capable up to 2000 lumens each (4000 lumens total). There are 4 intensities to choose from (200 lumen, 800 lumen, 1400 lumen and 2000 lumen). These lights are rated IP65 (not the board, simmer down) and are mounted to the Hypertruck with a custom Lacroix GoPro mount.
LACROIX HYPERTRUCKS:
Chiseled to hair splitting precision out of a huge brick of aerospace 7075 aluminum with a 5 axis CNC. The Hypertrucks were designed from the ground up by Lacroix in conjunction with Brad T. Miller (of RipTide Sports) and an experienced DIY e-board mechanical CAD sorcerer (Pedro Paganini De Mio).
As a result, these are a 19 inch wide high precision Hypertruck™ with triple bearing axles (12mm and 17mm) axles made to hold a bearing in the wheel pulley, all of which self corrects speed wobbles. T
he trucks are engineered to attenuate the wobbles, not amplify them. If they do start to occur, the trucks work so you don’t get to that “oh shit” moment.
On a medium-loose setup, if you start to feel wobbles around 33mph+, simply let off the throttle for a very slight moment and the trucks will automatically self correct and stabilize. After the magic happens, bend your knees, hit that throttle again, and go.
