At 73mm tall, the Beefcake carries more momentum and urethane than a small freestyle wheel, yet it remains manageable enough for technical freeride. The shape is deliberately muscular: 48mm wide overall, with a relatively narrow 31mm contact patch, generously rounded lips and a factory stone-ground riding surface. That combination helps the wheel get sideways immediately without the awkward break-in period associated with fresh, glossy wheels.
The rounded edges are not just cosmetic. Orangatang designed the Beefcake’s large roundovers to maintain a consistent lip shape as the wheel wears, helping slides remain smooth and catch-free throughout its usable life. The centerset bearing seat means the wheel can be mounted either way and flipped periodically, which is useful when you are putting serious mileage into one side of the set.
The proprietary Happy Thane formula is known for combining rolling speed, comfort and predictable drift characteristics. In the pink 83a version, the wheel sits toward the firmer end of the range.
