Who is Frankie Hill? Well, this guy is the reason street skateboarding is what it is today. What about so and so? Frankie was the first one taking on the goliath gaps and rails that we see today, while other skaters were busy ollieing 5 sets, he was hurling his young carcass down 11’s on a belief that he could possibly pull off the never been done. Whether he’s grabbing and flipping his board down stairs or riding the gnarliest boards, Frankie pushed the boundaries super hard and gave us what is skateboarding today.
Why is this deck so special you ask? Well, back in the day to get a pro model board you had to win contests. Frankie had hit the cover of Thrasher Magazine before even getting his own board. His huge group of followers begged Powell for a Hill model and in 1990 they got it. It is essentially the Mike Vallely pro model but with a kick nose that was Frankie’s main preference at the time. Best part is? Frankie continues to skate this day, so if you want to rip like its 1990 or don’t have the 3000 bucks for an original, this is it!
This deck features the K15 concave which gives the rider noticeable kick tails and a concave geared towards street riding.
