The Powell-Peralta 40th Anniversary McTwist Edition is a stunning tribute to Mike McGill’s legacy, celebrating 40 years since he perfected the 540 McTwist. This reissue of the iconic McGill Skull & Snake deck is crafted with premium gold foil and pearl inks, elevating the classic artwork to a new level of sophistication. Originally designed in 1984 by Vernon Courtlandt Johnson, the Skull & Snake graphic was inspired by McGill’s love for the abundant snakes and lightning bolts in his home state of Florida.
The deck features the original shape, concave, and top and bottom graphics, faithfully reproduced to capture the spirit of the 1980s. With a deck shape of 160, SP3 concave, and dimensions of 10″ x 30.125″ with a 16.625″ wheelbase, it maintains the authentic feel of its predecessor. The deck also includes the Long 4 – 2.5″ old school truck hole pattern.
Made from U.S. hard rock maple and constructed in Mexico, this reissue is warranted against delamination, making it both a collector’s item and a rideable piece of skateboarding history.
