Straight out of the Powell Peralta vaults, the Vallely Bug graphic is finally being released after years of being hidden away. Originally sketched for Mike Vallely’s debut pro model, this graphic was passed over in favor of the now-iconic Elephant design. The Vallely Bug was intended for the Geegah shape, but after Mike chose the Elephant, the graphic was nearly lost to time. Thanks to inspiration from Sean Cliver’s legendary book Disposable, which showcases skateboarding’s rich art history, this unreleased design is making its debut on the classic Elephant shape.
This deck, Shape 163, comes with Powell Peralta’s SP3 concave, offering a more aggressive curve for increased foot control, making it ideal for skating or collecting. The 15″ wheelbase, 30″ length, and 9.85″ width provide a stable and comfortable platform, with a nose length of 4.4″ and a tail of 6.4″. These dimensions deliver a ride that’s both responsive and versatile, catering to skaters who want to experience an old-school vibe with modern functionality. The Vallely Bug deck is a true piece of skate history, bringing a lost gem into the present day for fans and collectors alike.
