THE BELT LIFE
The biggest problem with belt driven gears is the damage that results from small rocks and debris passing through the teeth of the plastic gears ad the rubber belts. This will eventually gouge the teeth of the gear! Those newly formed sharp edges will then damage the rest of the belt. There are only 2 solutions to this. 1) A fully enclosed belt drive system. 2) Stronger gears to withstand the damage from debris.
THE SPEED
Speed Demons Unite! Not only are the Skate Kastle Evolve Pulley System gears stronger than stock, but they also allow for unrivaled speed and torque tuning! Refer to the chart provided for exact numbers, but the bottom line is that you now have a choice! Add a gear and gain some top speed, or drop a gear and gain torque! Up to a 7% increase in speed just from selecting the correct gear!
THE DESIGN
The Skate Kastle Evolve Pulley System is an innovative design backed by the tried and tested HTD® curvilinear design tooth profiles from Gates Corporation. The same people who have been making the belts that keep most of today’s internal combustion engines ticking are now making a much smaller, lighter duty version for our high tech needs!
Thousands of hours of research and development have gone into the final design of the Gates patented HTD® curvilinear tooth design. The main benefit to this particular tooth design is the perfect and effortless transfer of torque, meaning that your board isnt labouring to fight the resistance that the average tooth system has. Meaning, your board wont be wasting energy aka more power!!! These Teeth and belts are produced by the same people equalling a perfect fit!
THE MATERIALS
The Skate Kastle Evolve Pulley System relies on strength and durability. The backbone of which is the material used in its construction. 6061 Aluminium! This strong material is used most notably in things like Air planes and Helicopters due to the high tensile strength and relatively low weight!
