With the Waltz Skid Plate V2, you will prolong the life of your freestyle deck while not worrying about wearing out your tail. Please ensure to measure for closest fit. In addition, this high quality low profile tail skid plate is double drilled with countersunk bolt holes which gives and provides extra life before you grind down to the bolt head.
The Waltz Low Profile Tail Skid Plate consists of a width of 4.6679″ wide and a height profile of 0.25″, making low profile and not too bulky weighing your board down. Made from UHMV (ultra high molecular weight polyethylene) offers a combination of exceptional properties. This thermoplastic material is tough with superior impact strength. it is corrosion resistant and exhibits virtually no water absoption. It is also wear-resistant, non-sticking and self-lubricating.
Purchase includes one tail low profile skid plate with mounting hardware, and an instruction card for easy installation help. Please measure to ensure proper fitment prior to purchase.
HOW TO MOUNT YOUR WALTZ SKID PLATE:
Mounting your skid plate! The silver cylinder nuts goes from top to bottom through the deck (so the low profile head is nearly flush with the top of the deck) and the screws go in through the bottom, which tighten into the silver cylinder. This is similar to the way a typical lock nut would work. Lay the plate on the deck surface you will mount to, mark the deck surface through the center of drill holes, and then drill for the size of the silver cylinder nuts. For an easier time, use a pointed screwdriver or similar to make a slight indention as a pilot hole on each drill hole to have a start point for your drill bit to grab. With the deck secure, drill straight through. When it’s mounted, the top will be basically flush and the screw heads will be recessed in the drill hole countersink underside of the plate!
