For those who don’t know him yet, Aritz Aranburu is one of the greatest figures in the history of Spanish surfing. He is the only Basque and Spanish surfer to place among the top 45 surfers of the world (WCT 2007).
As a true legend on and outside the water, Aritz is charismatic and enthusiastic not only when it comes to surfing, but in every aspect of life. When we started to design his signature model, he already had clear ideas and an open mind, so the development of the YOW Aritz Aranburu Signature happened in a matter of days. This board reflects his personal style as well as his own surfboard

The Yow Meraki Surfskate system is the culmination of the last 5 years of research and development. A more simplified and reinforced design alongside Yow’s patented spring system, making it one of the most unique surfskate setups in the world.
Yow has removed the expendable parts of their old system while keeping their patented spring system intact and reinforced the essential parts while making it light and more resistant. In addition, improving the aesthetics as well. Aritz has helped put his country on the surfing map, being the one and only Spanish surfer to be in the top 45 surfers of the world.
He is charismatic and enthusiastic not only in surf but in every aspect of life as well. At the time we started to design his signature model, he already had clear ideas and open mind, so the development of the Aritz Aranburu Signature Yow happened on few days. The shapes have been designed according to his surfing style and his normal surfboard´s outline. The design is based on the world-known painting by Pablo Picasso.
