The Loaded Icarus is the newest addition to an already exceptional board line up!
Loaded pioneered the flexible drop thru board with the Dervish in 2007 and the Tan Tien in 2010. We’ve returned to our carving roots using many of the things learned over the past few years from our freeride boards, downhill boards, and our snowboard (with design cues from bacon). Combining wheel flares, cork, a balanced flex pattern and novel manufacturing methods, the Icarus is a milestone in our exploration of the soulful carving experience.
The Loaded Icarus features a vertically laminated bamboo and fiberglass construction paired with a cambered profile and a variable concave for a lively and engaging ride. The cork bottom helps dampen out vibrations without compromising the liveliness. It’s also user friendly with a drop though truck mounting positions, allowing for the deck to be lower to the ground for easier, more efficient pushing and enhanced stability. Light weight and compact size makes the Loaded Icarus intuitive and commuter friendly.
The Icarus has the right curves in the right places, which enhances the rider’s ergonomics while contributing to a responsive and a high-performance ride. The wheel well flares accommodate bigger wheels and improve turning leverage and control. Variable concave yields a consistent flex pattern while providing a variety of riding experiences based on foot placement of the rider.
The Icarus also features practical kicks. Minimal nose and tail kicks to help navigate through city streets and open many doors for freestyle trickery and endless amounts of fun.

The Loaded Icarus is now available in select shops worldwide! To celebrate, we scoured archaeological dig sites around California and unearthed two of our dearest family members: Adam Colton and Adam Stokowski. Enlisting the magical touch of cinematographer Alberto “Perropro” Alepuz, we set out to capture and share the experience of riding the Icarus that brings us so many smiles. We hope you enjoy it!
