Gordon & Smith Skateboards (G&S) 

Gordon & Smith (G&S) is one of the most historic brands in skateboarding. Founded in 1959 in San Diego, California, by Larry Gordon and Floyd Smith, the company began building surfboards before becoming one of the earliest manufacturers to recognize the potential of skateboarding.

During the 1970s skateboard boom, G&S rose to become one of the largest and most successful skateboard companies in the world. Their breakthrough Fibreflex construction — fiberglass laminated into wooden decks — created stronger, more responsive skateboards that quickly became the performance standard of the era.

In 1978, CalStreets became a primary distributor for G&S in Canada, helping introduce the legendary Fibreflex boards to Canadian skate shops and riders during one of the most exciting periods in skateboarding history.
