The Powell Peralta Bruce Lee X OG Skull and Sword collaboration is a striking fusion of skateboarding and martial arts culture, honoring two legends in their fields.
This limited edition deck features the iconic “Skull and Sword” graphic, originally created by Powell Peralta’s renowned artist Vernon Courtlandt Johnson (VCJ), reimagined with a Bruce Lee twist. Instead of the classic sword, the skeleton wields Lee’s signature red nunchaku, symbolizing the martial artist’s legacy and mastery. This artistic tribute, in coordination with the Bruce Lee Foundation and D-R-G-N, reflects Bruce Lee’s innovative spirit and Powell Peralta’s influence on skateboarding history.
The deck itself is built on Powell Peralta’s OG shape 166, a classic design known for its versatility and performance. Measuring 10 inches wide by 30 inches long, with a 16-inch wheelbase, it’s designed for both cruising and shredding, offering a stable platform for riders who appreciate wider decks. The robust construction makes it ideal for a variety of skating styles, from bowls to ramps, ensuring both durability and performance.
Powell Peralta, founded in 1978 by George Powell and Stacy Peralta, revolutionized the skateboard industry and became synonymous with the 1980s skateboarding scene, largely due to the legendary Bones Brigade team.
This collaboration with the Bruce Lee Foundation honors not only the art of skateboarding but also Bruce Lee’s enduring legacy as a martial artist and cultural icon.
