We’re gonna call these one-of-a-kind screen prints “Beautiful Disaster” as they are indeed pretty wasted and wasted and pretty, a hot mess of lovely colors all smashed up together. They’re almost too rad to skate but damn right you’re going to thrash ‘em up and add to the art with your own scrapes and scuffs.

The shape is kind of a mash-up of all the OG Hard Times boards in a modern size and concave. With a 14.75″ wheelbase you will dominate pools and stay confident mid air. This board features a lightly tapered and squared tail with a pointy nose.

This Hard Times 8.75″ deck is a versatile alternative to a popsicle shape. Great all around ramp, bowl, park, curb or whatever else. The moderns they do are limited as well so grab one while you can.

After several months of obsessing on the idea to grind a 57′ rail on my 57th birthday I roped my buddy and frequent co-conspirator Rene @bluntsteel into helping build the rail…and all the cards fell into place when we came up on a multi-sectional demo/contest rail from the ashes of TWS. The rail was modified to be the same height as a Blunt Steel Step-Up rail and it was time for business and the pressure was on to live up to my dream or be crushed. I’d never really grinded rails before until a couple years ago on a Blunt Steel prototype that was maybe 8 to 10′ long, I spent 3 days of frustration and multiple slams trying to figure out how to grind a round rail before finally making it. Since then I’ve gotten fairly comfortable on them but can still get scared and sketchy at times in my oldness and crap. It turned into a super fun session with Laban, Rene and his son Myles, Cooper and Burnett. Thank you Jett for making the awesome curb cake and of course my wife Laurie. Thanks to Burnett for the photos, O on the video action and filming and edit by Laban who always makes it fun….and extra thanks to Blunt Steel for hosting. What can we do next year?! – Dave B.
