Not only do they look beautiful, the Creature VX Provost Phantasm deck construction will outlast those standard 7-ply boards any day. The VX construction consists of 5-plys of hard rock North American Maple that gets reinforced by two layers of patented Creature Quad X Technology material.
The Quad X layers combine fiberglass and carbon fiber fabric, which connect crosswise with each other. These special plies make up the top and second to last layer of VX decks.
Overall, this signature construction makes the VX decks both thinner and stronger than other boards on the market. The Quad X Technology material also makes these boards keep their pop longer than conventional 7 ply and premium wood!
This Creature VX Provost Phantasm 8.0″ skateboard deck has a Classic Creature shape. It’s designed for a technical street skater or a ripper who an 8″ with elongated wheelbase.

Rewind to 1994, and that's where Creature Skateboards first hit the scene, emerging from the creative minds at NHS. The mastermind behind it? None other than Russ Pope, the same legend who managed the SMA team.
The original crew tearing it up on Creature decks included Jason Adams, Barker Barrett, and Darren Navarrette. Adams, though, didn't stick around for long, as he teamed up with Pope to kickstart Scarecrow.
This time, it was Navarrette and Lee Charron at the helm, steering the team and injecting fresh, creative vibes into the brand's direction.
