Skate Mental

Buy Skate Mental Skateboards online Canada pickup VancouverSkate Mental kicked off in 2007 when Brad Staba realized he could turn his small T-shirt side project into a real board brand. He teamed up with his friend Brian Anderson, a skater he’d been traveling with since their Tum Yeto days back in the late 90s. They didn’t want to start just another “serious” skateboard company. They wanted something sharper, stranger, and way more fun.

From day one, Skate Mental built its identity around humor and honesty. The graphics are weird, the ideas are bold, and nothing is filtered for corporate comfort. Staba and crew believed skateboarding didn’t need to take itself so seriously to be good, and that attitude became the backbone of the brand.

The boards, though, are no joke. Seven-ply maple, pro-level shapes, and construction meant for real-world skating. Skate Mental continues to put out gear that rides hard and looks like it came from the brain of someone who grew up skating.
