Back in '94, Creature Skateboards was born out of NHS by the one and only Russ Pope, who used to manage the SMA team.
Jason Adams, Barker Barrett, and Darren Navarrette were the OG riders, but Adams bounced pretty quick to help Pope start up Scarecrow.
Unfortunately, NHS had to put Creature on ice in the late '90s, but they brought it back in the mid 2000s with Navarrette and Lee Charron sharing the responsibility of running the team and getting creative with the brand direction.
