The Hosoi Double Take Hammerhead is one of those boards that makes you stop, look once, flip it over, and then look again — which is exactly the point. This Double Take edition takes the legendary Hosoi Hammerhead shape and loads it with graphics on both sides, giving collectors and old-school skaters a full visual hit from top to bottom.
One side comes in classic black with the bold Hosoi Hammerhead graphic: red circle, white wedge, stylized Hosoi logo, HAMMERHEAD bar, and SKTBRDS detail. Flip it over and the other side hits in full red, carrying the same graphic energy across the top side. That is what makes this deck so interesting — it is not just a bottom graphic with a plain top. It is a true two-sided presentation, built to make the deck feel special whether it is hanging on the wall, sitting on a shelf, or being shown off in a collection.
The Hammerhead itself is one of Christian Hosoi’s most recognizable shapes. Wide, aggressive, unmistakably 80s, and loaded with vert-era attitude, this is the kind of board that still looks wild decades later. The shape has that old-school presence that makes modern popsicle decks look like office supplies.
This version is especially cool because the Double Take concept gives the graphic twice the impact. The black bottom brings the classic deep, heavy collector look, while the red top adds a loud shot of Hosoi energy before the board is even assembled. Add the clear grip treatment and you still get to see the red graphic instead of burying the whole top under standard black grip.
