Powell had just released its hit video “Propaganda” in 1990.,The climate of skateboarding was an ever changing environment. Enter Lance Conklin with his progressive street maneuvers street and solid style. A native of Florida, Conklin honed his craft on the streets of Fort Myers. Innovating early maneuvers such as manual combos and powerslide variations. He was considered a creative street skater for his time. Think Chris Milic in 1990, same deal. First turning pro for Powell Peralta in 1991, his board was adorned with a Sean Cliver graphic. The Conklin Face was born.
Now you can own that same board with the Conklin “face” reissue. Boasting a full shape with both drill orientations, just incase you want to shorten up that wheelbase. Whether you want to skate 15″ or 14.5 as your wheelbase, the choice is yours. With a width of 9.75″ and overall length at 32.09″ this board can handle anything you can throw at it. This deck features the K15 concave which gives the rider noticeable kick tails and a concave geared towards street riding.
All Powell Peralta decks are designed and reworked in the United States, and this one is manufactured in Mexico. This professional quality skateboard reissue measures 9.75″ wide x 32.09″ long and is suitable for street and transition action. Just like the decks made way back in 91′, this deck up to the highest quality standards, using only the best Canadian Maple money can buy. Lastly the blue stain on these really makes the heat transfers pop. Paired with the Cliver art and youve got the makings of a great reissue. Who knows when the next time Powell reissues these, better not sleep on them.
