The RipTide APS Short Street Cone & Street Cone Bushing set are the perfect way to bring like to your trucks!
These bushings are for use in standard skateboard trucks (such as Independent, Thunder, Ace, etc.) and are also fully compatible for the Yow Meraki S5 surfskate trucks. Included in the 4 pack of bushings are two short street cones and two street cones to accommodate most traditional kingpin trucks such as Independent.
The short street cone (0.4″) bushing shape offers the most movement in your skateboard trucks, and allow your trucks to easily achieve their full lean and turn without loosing the feel of the truck. Short Street cone is most ofted used in the Road-Side (Top) position. Sized properly to fit “Indy style trucks”.
In addition, the street cone (0.5″) one shape has the lowest resistance and stability of all the shapes and can allow your trucks to easily achieve their full lean and turn without loosing the feel of the truck.
Overall, this setup of Short Street Cone/ Street Cone is for riders looking to obtain more lean/turn capabilities from their trucks. With a double cone setup, these bushings are ready to get pumping and provide you with a lively and responsive turns!
This bushing set registers within the hard durometer bushing range and are for are for are ideal (but not limited to) riders ranging from 175lbs – 200+lbs, and those who are looking for a tighter setup. Please keep in mind, that APS bushings ride a couple of points softer than they test.
As the name implies, this APS compound is very lively and offers high rebound with lots of control and lean. For the same durometer, the APS will turn 10% to 15% more than the same durometer of other brands. In addition, the APS does not change much when you tighten the kingpin nut past snug.
