Skaters being busted in front of Longboarder Labs? Handcuffed and put in the back of a police cruiser? It all went down and we have the pictures to prove it. Even though it could have been a scene from the movie “Let’s Be Cops”, this cop and cruiser were the real thing from the VPD, but just for fun.
We invited our Community Officer, Constable Paul Hogan, to come and meet local skaters and interact. We broke out the donuts and had a Q&A sesh on longboarding and the law. Everyone agreed that mutual respect was the key to co-existing on our streets. Then came the photos and the “big bust”. All dudes in attendance got passes to see a sneak preview of “Let’s Be Cops” and even became fake cops for our photo booth.
