The cone bushing shape offer the lowest resistance and stability of bushing shapes which can allow your trucks to easily achieve their full lean and turn. The Riptide APS formula compound is very lively and offers high rebound with lots of control and lean. For the same durometer, the APS will turn 10% to 15% more than the same durometer of other brands. This medium durometer bushing features the APS Formula are perfect for medium-weight riders and those looking for a looser setup in the road-side position when coupled with a harder durometer bushing.

NOTE: APS rides a couple of points softer than they test, please order accordingly.

The Riptide APS Cone Bushings are the most commonly used bushings for use in standard trucks such as Atlas, Bear and Caliber, etc!

Riptide’s cone shape has the lowest resistance and stability of all the shapes addressed on this page and can allow your trucks to easily achieve their full lean and turn without loosing the feel of the truck.

The Cone/Cone setup is for those looking for a very carvy or surfy feel. With this choice, the further you lean, the less resistance there is.

The Cone/Barrel setup is for those looking for a carvy or surfy feel but with a bit more stability. With this choice the resistance is constant throughout the range of motion.

This bushing registers within the very hard durometer bushing range and are for are for heavy-weight (130lbs – 160lbs) riders and for those looking for a tight. Please keep in mind, that APS bushings ride a couple of points softer than they test.

APS FORMULA:

As the name implies, this compound is very lively and offers high rebound with lots of control and lean. For the same durometer, the APS will turn 10% to 15% more than the same durometer of other brands.

In addition, the APS does not change much when you tighten the kingpin nut past snug.

We recommend tightening to the point where it is difficult to turn the bushing in the bushing seat by hand. Use a flat washer for lower resistance and a cupped washer for higher resistance.

The durometer of a bushing is what determines whether it's hard or soft. And that's what's gonna give you that sweet lean you're looking for. But when you're picking out the right durometer, you gotta consider two things: your riding style and your weight. If you're all about bombing hills, you're gonna want a harder bushing for max stability. But if you're more into freeriding, a softer bushing's gonna be your jam. And don't forget about your weight, either. If you're a featherweight, go for a soft bushing. If you're packing some pounds, you'll wanna go harder.
