DOES IT COME WITH A WARRANTY?
Yup! We warrant that Onewheel+ will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 12 months. More information regarding our warranty can be found at onewheel.com/pages/support.
IS THE BATTERY SAFE?
We don’t compromise when it comes to performance or safety. We source high quality components, employ an advanced Battery Management System, assemble everything in our San Jose, California factory and perform exhaustive quality control.
WHAT’S THE LIFETIME OF THE BATTERY?
This is not your iPhone. Onewheel+ and Onewheel+ XR use some of the most advanced battery systems on the planet that are designed for the long haul. Our boards our spec’d to ride for 2 years without noticeable range degradation and many of our Original Onewheel owners are still enjoying their boards 5 years later.
HOW DURABLE IS THE TIRE?
We use Vega racing tires that are spec’d to go 150mph, so 19mph doesn’t even begin to scratch the surface. We also fill each tire with military-grade tire sealant before they leave the factory for added protection. These tires will take you anywhere.
WHAT’S DIGITAL SHAPING 2.0?
Inspired from the art of shaping surfboards to create different riding experiences, Digital Shaping enables riders to select different settings offered to suit personal styles, ability levels, or riding terrain.
DOES ONEWHEEL WORK IN WET CONDITIONS?
Onewheel is water resistant, not water proof. To protect your investment, avoid large amounts of water and exercise common sense.
THERE’S AN APP FOR THAT?
The Onewheel app enables riders to monitor battery levels, turn on and off LED lights and switch Digital Shaping 2.0 settings to customize your riding experience. Additionally, the Onewheel App now allows you to connect, compete and share your rides with the Onewheel Community. See how you stack up against riders world-wide or share an epic trail ride to friends on Facebook. Upgrade your board’s firmware as performance is improved or features are added.
WHAT KIND OF SAFETY GEAR DO I NEED?
This 25 pound, 2 horsepower piece of machinery is no joke. If you don’t follow the instructions and take the time to learn the basics, you could be putting yourself at risk of getting hurt. Helmets are an absolute must and we highly recommend wrist guards or anything else that will make you feel comfortable while riding.
SHARING THE STOKE – LEARN TO RIDE WITH A BUDDY
SAFETY FIRST
Make sure you are wearing a helmet and pads.
EXPLAIN THE BASICS – THEN TEST RIDE WHILE SUPPORTING THE ONE RIDING
How it works – – Powered by a hub motor, batteries and sensors to create a buttery riding experience.
Lean-to-go control – Lean forward to go, lean back to brake.
Sense Pads – Both sides of the front footpad are pressure sensitive. Step firmly on both sides of the front footpad to engage the motor.
Dismount – Slow down to < 1 mph, lift your heel off of one of the sides of the front footpad to disengage the motor and dismount.
READY TO RIDE
Orient the rider in the natural riding stance with their front foot squarely on the front footpad.
MOUNTING
Offer your hand in support and ask the rider to come to level. Instruct them to stand just as they would on the ground.
BACK ELBOW
A rider’s back elbow acts as their rudder. Placing your hand under their back elbow gives the rider just the right amount of support and stability as
they figure it out.
RELAX
Let the rider know the less they think, the easier it will be!
LOOK AND LEAN
Instruct the rider to look where they want to go and lean with their front hip and shoulder in that direction.
STAY CLOSE
Always try to stay within arms reach.
RIDE WITH THEM
Some riders get it and don’t need hand holding. Ride with them to show them nuances and reinforce awesomeness.
DISMOUNT
Bring the rider to balance supporting them under their back elbow. Show them how to swipe their foot or lift their heel to disengage. Always be present while the rider is dismounting.
