Girl Skateboard Company
Girl Skateboards burst onto the scene in August of 1993 when Rick Howard, Mike Carroll, Megan Baltimore, and Spike Jonze decided the skate world needed a brand with brains, style, and a wicked sense of humor. Born in Torrance, California, Girl quickly became the home for skaters who actually care about how good their gear looks while they destroy it.
The name “Girl” came first — the iconic logo followed. Instead of overthinking it, they kept it clean and clever, riffing on the classic women’s restroom symbol. Simple. Bold. Instantly recognizable. And now? Completely legendary.
For more than two decades, Girl Skateboards has been dropping top-tier decks, gear, and apparel with that signature mix of attitude, fun, and pure skate energy. From streets to parks to the walls of collectors’ rooms, Girl is still one of the most stylish crews to ever roll out of Torrance.
