Powell Peralta never really “came back,” because let’s be honest, they never left. They have been holding it down for over four decades, and this OG Steve Steadham Copper Foil reissue proves they still know exactly how to make a deck that hits the collector nerve and the skater nerve at the same time.
Originally released in the mid-80s, the Steadham shape is one of those boards that instantly stands apart.
Wide, aggressive, weird in the best possible way, and finished with that unmistakable squared-off tail cutaway, it looks like something built for pool coping, curb punishment, and staring at on your wall when you should probably be working.
The copper foil version takes the classic Steadham spade/skull graphic and gives it a serious shine without losing the raw Powell attitude. It has that old-school pig shape feel, big standing platform, and full vintage energy.
Originals are getting harder to find and harder to afford, so this is the kind of reissue that makes sense whether you are building it up or saving it for the wall.
