Skate Mental kicked off in 2007 when Brad Staba realized he could turn his small T-shirt side project into a real board brand. He teamed up with his friend Brian Anderson, a skater he’d been traveling with since their Tum Yeto days back in the late 90s. They didn’t want to start just another “serious” skateboard company. They wanted something sharper, stranger, and way more fun.
