The Venom HPF Tall Barrel Bushings 73a are a compliment to the Slalom truck revolution. We’ve found as you go narrower in truck hanger width, you also need to go softer in bushing durometer to compensate for the lack of leverage due to the smaller width. The new 73a HPF rides VERY well for both slalom racing and slower race course applications.
Barrel bushings are designed to fill the entire bushing seat to give the rider increased stability for more aggressive freeride and downhill riding. With tall bushing, you get an unparalleled level of lean for cornering and the trucks feel very responsive under foot. Due to this extra range of motion and response, tall bushing trucks are often used for downhill skateboarding.
